What is making us sick? American lifestyles are making us fat, giving us migraines, and causing cancer. Jason Hartman and Sydney Ross Singer, medical anthropologist and author, shed some light on these problematic factors. Sydney has some interesting research on sleep, and explains the impact sleep has on circulation to the brain and body. Sleep problems can cause all sorts of problems, from migraines to sleep apnea to carpel tunnel.

As is widely known, stress levels affect overall health. Sydney thinks it’s time everyone takes charge of their own health and consider eliminating negative lifestyle choices to give their bodies a chance to heal.

Sydney Ross Singer is pioneering a new field of health research, called Applied Medial Anthropology, and is trained in biochemistry, anthropology and medicine. He is the author of numerous controversial health books, including Dressed to Kill: The Link Between Breast Cancer and Bras, and is the director of the Institute for the Study of Culturogenic Disease located in Hawaii.
